He went back and was told he would need to purchase new hearing aids- BUT the lady didn’t even look at the hearing aids before making this decision! She offered my grandfather the most expensive hearing aids in their range and was very pushy for him to sign a contract , despite him saying he wanted time to think. I’m so grateful that he was smart enough to see through their sales tactics. He booked an appointment at Hearing Australia Shepparton and they actually looked at the hearing aids! Told him all they needed were new batteries for another 4+ years usage. This was also FREE!
Can’t believe Amplifon were so quick to try sell him an extremely expensive product and push him to sign a contract when there was a simple solution. Really taking advantage of your elderly clientele. Clearly an issue within the business of needing to make a quick sale. While the service was excellent 4 stars for that I can't say the same for the reception I received. I felt like I had intruded with the rolling of the eyes. And then once again I had to dash back as I had a problem with my aid and the receptionist was about to close the door as she was going to lunch. Another cold shoulder and facial expression. But my audiologist was very happy to assist.
